Description: From an estate: a hard-to-find / rare Chinese Qing Yixing teapot in an unusual double wall design. Dark brown Zisha clay. A reticulated mesh or trellis style outer layer encases a solid inner portion with what appear to be little fish adorning the walls. The teapot rests on 6 tiny rectangular-shaped feet. Knot style knob on dome lid. Short pour spout. Exact vintage not known, perhaps 20th century. Maker impression marks underneath both teapot and lid. Small in stature, this teapot measures about 5 inches from spout to handle and perhaps 2 inches tall not including lid. See photos for measurements. Please pay close attention to all photos. The teapot is quite old; we note a couple of very tiny hairline cracks in the reticulation, as well as one small portion missing. Overall, this teapot is in remarkable condition, and would be an amazing addition to your collection.
