Description: Yamaha CX-830 preamp. Unit was disassembled, cleaned, disinfected, all electrolytic capacitors replaced with audio grade nichicon mostly UKA/UKT and some fine gold capacitors, including the large filter caps. Potentiometers cleaned with D5 and lubed with F100L. The phono preamp on this thing is one of the best I’ve seen on a preamp in this range. After the restoration the unit is back to being transparent as it should but also a reduction in noise(hiss) to almost nonexistent. The pictures show a before and a couple after of the work done. I enjoying bringing these old units back to life, this should easily have another 20 years of great amazing sound these 80/90s Japanese units are loved for. Comes with the programmable remote which is super easy to use and learn from any other remote as well as user/service manuals.
