Description: WWI Era AEF US Army Officer's Sam Browne Leather Belt w/Shoulder Strap - Waist 32" to 37" - Original - Very NICE Condition Up for sale is a WWI Era AEF US Army Officer's Sam Brown Leather Belt w/Shoulder Strap. The leather is soft and supple. The leather has some minor wrinkling and minor surface cracks. The stitching is all intact, no fraying. The leather is brown in color, which is correct for the US Army. The belt has the manufacturer logo on the tab of the belt, no dates. The belt will fit a waist 32" to 37", the belt is approximately 42" long x 2 1/8" wide. Please see photos for details and condition. This is the belt which is commonly seen in old photos of WWI Officers. The Sam Brown Belt was adopted from a British Design. It originally had two shoulder straps, but was most commonly worn with one strap. This would make a welcomed addition to any WWI Collection.
