Description: WWI Scottish MK II or MK III Military pipers dirk, this is dated 1 16 (Jan. 1916) with armors marks, broad arrow. With military inspection proofs on the opposite side of the blade and back of spine. This was probably made in Birmingham, but I dont see a makers marking. Blade has been roughly cleaned over the years. No sharpening, has some pitting. Blade measures 12 inches long. The bog wood grip has some chips missing out of it from the bottom of the pommel cap area. Scabbard is leather covered wood, no markings on scabbard, but the 2nd nickel thistle fitting is slightly loose from age. Not a "mint example" by any means.....but this is a REAL WWI military issue pipers dirk. Shipping will be 15.00 for US buyers. No international shipping at this time.
