Description: A nice unissued example of an original World War Two British Army Pioneer Corps Southern Command Battle Blouse Shoulder Patch circa 1939-45. Britain has been divided into Military Districts since the Revolutionary Wars with France on the 1700s. During WW-II Southern Command was composed of approx 22 Corps & Regiments including The Royal Corps of Signals, Royal Armoured Corps Royal Engineers, Military Police, Royal Artillery, Pioneer Corps etc all under the Garrison/HG at Tidworth Camp in Hampshire. Southern Command's insignia was a 5-star shield and each formation under the command had its own colour scheme, The Pioneer Corps having a split red/green shield with 5 white stars on its face A screen-print shield measuring approx. 2.5" across the top and 2.5" from top to bottom this Command patch is in an unissued condition, and is part of a small group of 15 such British WW-II Army shoulder patches collected by a veteran of the Normandy Campaign during the later years of the Second World War. +++ Please note this sale is just for the Pioneer Corps Southern Command Patch only! +++ Thanks for looking..!
