Description: You are bidding on an EXCELLENT used example of a WW1 German S98/05 nA Seitengewehr Butcher Bayonet! This originally belonged to a member of Pioneer Regiment 9 (P.R. 9). Made of steel and wood, this German S98/05 mS Butcher Bayonet is in VERY NICE condition considering it's age. Manufactured by Paul Weyersburg & Co., there are some slight marks due to the age, but otherwise is in SUPERB used condition! The blade (heavily covered in grease) does show some marks, stains, and wear, but still retains the original factory edge! Features numerous inspection stamps, and a production date of 1917. This was originally attached to the belt and frog (faintly marked "P.R. 9") and frog that I have available in my other listings. Scabbard is original to this knife, and match in condition, with various marks and wear throughout. Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
