Description: First Liberty Ship Delivered This amazing series of Covers was prepared in 1993 and 1994 by the Postal Commemorative Society for the 50th Anniversary of World War II ( WW 2 ). It historically documents and dates the major events of World War II ( WW 2 ), and has tied in the actual 50th Anniversary DAY date and country of stamp issuance, to commemorate the specific event. So each of the cancels is from the country location, and dated on the 50th annioversary of the event ( excluding some Sunday cancels ), but from the current years of 1993 or 1994. Also attached is a related MINT stamp tying in with the event. These covers make an excellent presentation of the event, and each cover comes with a card that has a full historical write up of this event. We were pleased to purchase an entire collection of these covers, and are happy to break the collection up for those interested in specific events of the war that relate most to them, or their collecting pursuits.
