Description: Interesting World War I US Air Service photograph featuring a biplane with its pilot and a French officer. The photograph measures approximately 5 5/16" x 3 1/8", and is of a thinner paper than what we normally see on period photographs. It was glued in a photographic album at one time, with remnants of the black paper still attached. Especially nice content with this one. Rare. The picture remains in fair condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. Age toning, edge and corner wear is evident.
