These are open/hollow on the head, but the hole does not go all the way through.THEY ARE IN VARIOUS STATES OF RUST. SOME HAVE A LITTLE RUST ON THE BANDS, OTHERS HAVE MORE.NOTE: There are little staples under the rim of the head, probably to grab thread. The staples do not stick out and will not poke you. You get 5 that are 8" long and 1" across the head. They are in used condition.
