Womens Costume 1700s Watteau Pleat 2 Piece Custom Made Dress and Mob Cap Vintage

Description: Vintage Custom Handmade 3 Piece Women's Costume 1700s French Watteau Pleat. Also Called 'Sack Back'. Dress is 2 Pieces. The Under Dress is Made of White Taffeta with Wide Lace Trim at Neckline, Sleeves, and the Front of the Skirt. Closure is a Back Zipper and Hook & Eye Closure at the Neck. The Bodice is Fitted. This is Sized "XS". A "S" Woman with Narrow Shoulders and Small Bust Could Work. Measurements are 26" Waist and 32" Bust. The Fabric Does Not Stretch. The Over Dress is Light Blue Organza with Darker Blue Flocked Flowers. The Sleeves are Lined and have a Scalloped Hem and Snap Closure. The Front of the Skirt is Open so that the lace of the Under Dress Shows when the Dress is Assembled. There is a Handmade Velveteen Blue Rosette on the Bodice (Needs a little fluffing up). The Front of the Dress is Fitted, the Back is Flowing. The Two Dresses Come Together with a Series of Snaps on the Back of the Bodice of the Under Dress and Paired Snaps on the Over Dress (which are Hidden by the Watteau Pleat). Also Included is a Handmade Vintage Lace Mob Cap. This Costume Dress was Handmade in 1970 to be Worn with a Hoop, either Round or Oval. The Hoop is Not Included. Condition of the Blue Over Dress is Excellent. There is Vintage Yellowing on the White Taffeta Under Dress and Mob Cap. The Under Dress has Two Small Dark Spots on the Back Near the zipper. When the Dress is Assembled these Cannot be Seen. Please Refer to the Last Photo as this is Part of the Description.
