A different horse can be seen on in the background on the ground being killed by the rest of the pack. A poem below the print tells the story of “The Russian Mother and the Wolves”. The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 11 x 15 inches (28 x 38 cm). The picture fills about half of it, measuring approximately 8.75 x 7.25 inches, with a caption below it.
