First state of the first printing is indicated by the absence of the 1911-1914 volume of The World Crisis from the list of 11 works by the author. “BOUND BY BAYNTUN-RIVIERE BATH, ENGLAND” is stamped at upper margin of first free front endpaper. Final page of Index has binder’s (eraseable) penciled markings at lower margin. In My Early Life, Churchill's only volume of autobiography, he covers the years from his birth in 1874 to his election to Parliament in 1900. CONDITION: Near Fine. (Cloth on boards has occasional very faint light spotting. The leather on the spine is a bit wrinkled. As is generally true of copies of the book, the preliminary pages, including the Title Page, and the final Index page, have faint foxing spots. The Contents are otherwise Fine.)
