Publisher's original tan cloth, lettered and decorated in black, red and gilt with gilt stamped titles and flag decoration to the spine, black endpapers. A crease along the spine, joints worn, a bit of a spine slant, corners rubbed and bumped, softening to spine tips, foxing to a few pages and chipping along the outer edge of the fold out map opposite page 366 as well as a few pages of the Longmans catalog.
