We have been repairing classic coin-op arcade PC boards for over 20 years and counting, servicing most of the major amusement operators here in the New Orleans area. You should then box up and send your non-working Defender sound board to us(please include a brief desription of the issues you are having with the board). Your board should look similar to the one pictured above. This service applies to the cocktail and mini versions of Bubbles as well. This is what we will do for every sound board we receive:1) All original IC sockets will be replaced with new dual-wipe sockets2) The 6821 PIA will be desoldered and socketed, and it is a part known to fail, so if it ever does, you'll only need to remove it from the socket and pop a new one in.3) The electrolytic capacitors will be replaced.4) The troublesome male headers where the wiring harness connects will be removed and new Trifurcon headers will be installed. No more connection issues with your board.5) The original large 3.57Mhz crystal will be replaced with a new smaller profile one.6) The original crusty fuse holders will be removed and replaced with new ones.7) Board will be repaired, burn in tested, then shipped back to you.
