No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bottom marked with WJW. Vase is 9 3/4 tall and 5 1/2" wide. William Joseph Walley was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, in 1852. Walley established his first pottery in Portland, Maine, in 1873, making pottery until 1885. He moved to Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1885 and established a pottery there. His first two ventures achieved only moderate success. In 1896, Walley purchased the Wachusett's Pottery in West Sterling, Massachusetts.
