Description: A beautiful pair of American sterling silver spoons in the "Italian" pattern (introduced 1860) , signed by prominent New York silver manufacturer William Gale & Son. Monogrammed with script monogram. William Gale was a true master at his craft, partnering from time to time with other great makers such as Wood and Hughes, and creating pieces for the early Tiffany & Co. His company eventually became the firm of Dominick and Haff, which continued to produce this pattern. Condition: excellent, with light scratching and other signs of use.
