Description: SASS EMPORIA are delighted to offer this vibrant hand decorated art ceramic wall plate produced by Ruscha Keramik of West Germany. Ruscha were market leaders in offering an extensive array of decorative plates and wall hangings in a variety of shapes and sizes that were destined for both interior and exterior settings over many decades since the late 1950's. Here we see a circular hanging plate from the 717 range, Ruscha's most prolifically produced ceramic plate form seen across a multitude of decor ranges from the 1950's-1980's. This example, called Blume-Rot is from the Kashel Decor Series first released in 1958 and was most likely designed by Islemarie Hobbelmann. Decorated in a joyous motif arranged with three large glossy red show-sized flowers. Entirely decorated by hand, each flower petal and its accompanying foliage features a black lava piped outline set against a shimmering metallic copper glazed backdrop. The plates outer trim and underside is decorated in a matte brown glaze with a scratching of its form number '717-1.5'. Unmistakably by "Ruscha", this is a warm bright art statement ready to become an endearing talking piece either on display in your home or as part of any colourful ceramic collection!FORM: 717- 1.5HEIGHT: 4.00cmDIAMETER: 23.00cmWEIGHT: 610 gramsCONDITION: We carefully select all our items for sale and place a high priority in offering items that are without damage, flaws or imperfections.
