Description: Back in 1997, I bought a 1986 Vanagon Weekender from a Abrams tank commander up at Fort Hood, Texas. He went to the factory in Hannover when he was stationed in Germany and obtained this bottle opener. He brought the Vanagon with him to Germany and even blew up the engine on the Autobahn! Brought it back after putting in a new long block in Germany and sold it to me. Gave me the bottle opener at time of sale. He even let me crawl over the Abrams when I went up to Ft Hood but wouldn't let me see inside :( I used a little German Flitz metal polish on the bottle opener but have never sanded it. All original.
