Description: The item is sold as is, as found, and as you see it. The sale is for an unusual serving piece vtg mcm maybe teak wood salad tongs. There is a long handle. There is one on the right thats inserted in long that's glued in: can see from left side. The one on right angles and is not glued in but is jointed and able to move forward only. When you serve using the item, you push the right one toward the stationary left one to pick up food. Solid server type item. Mainly the item is funky and cool in design. I have not seen anything of this type in wood. Good condition with age related issues. Wear on left side handle and on wood serving piece top side. On right side of left top piece and sides. Can be small nicks also and on stem part on piece. A line of wear spot at right inside of top area and backside white spots wear or scuffs. On one side of main handle, two nails on stationary piece and one on sliding piece. This item is age unknown; I assume mid century, 60s or 70s. Great with a mod kitchen, great with a wood teak salad bowl. The item performs as its supposed to. See all pics for they are part of description. May have other issues not mentioned but mentioned most significant. Measures 3" at widest at top X 11.5" X .25".
