Vtg Gillette Gold Color Safety Razor Original Black Case Gold Color Blade Box

Description: For sale is a vintage gold colored Gillette Safety Razor with original black colored case and a metal, gold colored razor blade box with a few vintage razor blades wrapped in original paper. This razor set is in used condition however a good cleaning will probably help. It is approximately 3 inches long. The razor itself is in working condition as far as I know. I have not tested it. It shows wear at the edges at the top but everything fits and screws together nicely. The gold colored metal box that holds the razor blades is in really nice condition. It’s approximately 2 inches by 1 inch. There is a pretty line pattern embossed into the top of the box. There is a slight dent at the underneath edge of the hole where you push your finger through to obtain a blade but it’s a small dent. There are some minor scratches on the little razor blade box from use but nothing big that I notice. The outside bottom of the box is stamped as follows: “Made in USAGillette Trade Mark Known The World Over” There are 2 razors covered in paper inside of the razor box.I am assuming each wrapped paper contains 1 razor. The papers say (1) “Silver Star Double Edge Duridium Process Precision Products American Safety Razor Corp. Brooklyn, 1, N.Y.” and (2) “VFW Veterans of Foreign Wars Blade guaranteed to give satisfactory shave, if not satisfactory replacement will be made without charge.” The original case or box has seen some better days. It does need a good cleaning. It measures approximately 4 inches by 2 and ½ inches by 1inch. The outside shows wear. The inside top lid has a nylon type of material that has yellowed over the years. It also has a few marks or stains on the left hand side from probably hitting the razor when closed. The material is stamped “Gillette Made in U.S.A.” The small piece of material inside that connects the upper and lower lid is frayed on both ends. The inside bottom of the lid is lined with a dark blue velvet type of material over an insert and it holds the items. The blue material looks stained or faded in areas from use. The items it holds are the razor and the blade box. There are a few stains and obvious wear on the inside edges of the case. The case closes nicely and sits flush when closed. The vintage razor set in my pictures here is the exact set that I’m selling. I will be shipping this via United States Postal Service.
