Made in 1990 by Liberty Bell Christmas Inc, the piece was sold by Caldor. Part of the Old World Village collection, the inn is hand painted with a matte finish. It measures 7 3/4" tall, 6 1/4" wide and is 4 1/8" from front to back. It weighs just over 1 1/2 lbs. The design details are amazingly intricate and realistic. The Inn is textured and painted tan with brown trim in a Tudor style. There is a small side building attached to the main building by a covered and arched walkway. There are 3 chimneys and a green brick roof. An "Old Mill Inn" sign hangs above the double entrance doors and a Christmas wreath is directly above the doors. The Inn sits on cobblestones. Patches of snow are on the roof and the ground around the building. There are cut out rectangular windows around the sides to allow the warm light to shine through. The front door is ajar showing the light as well adding a realistic touch. The bottom is imprinted with "Old Mill Inn". The house comes with a brand new white, 6 ft cord and C7 bulb that clips into the back. The cord has a rotary click switch so there's no need to unplug it to turn off the light. The Inn comes in its original box that has significant wear with some pieces taped. The Old Mill Inn is perfect for displaying on your floor, under the tree or on a tabletop. Whether adding to an existing village, starting a collection, or using it as a unique stand-alone Christmas decor piece, this discontinued Inn creates a warm ambience and nostalgic touch. The snow blanket used in the photos is not included in the sale.
