Description: This is a great old star and constellation chart / wheel called the Star Explorer, which was created in 1957 by Dorothy A. Bennett and Hugh S. Rice of the Hayden Planetarium, American Museum of Natural History, New York, New York. This copy is the fourth edition of the chart, which we suspect dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s. As noted, it has normal age-related wear, but is very nice overall for such an old star wheel.
