Voigtlander Septon 50mm f/2 Lens DKL mount DSLR/Mirrorless Adaptable Bessamatic

Description: Up for sale is a nice example of a classic 1950's German-Made DKL mount Prime lens, the Voigtlander Septon 50mm f/2. Considered by many to be the greatest lens ever made for the DKL mount, this model is known for its great sharpness, lovely color reproduction, and sublime "3d" rendering. It was originally produced by Voigtlander for Bessamatic and Ultramatic series 35mm SLR film cameras and makes a great adapted lens on a variety of digital formats, including Full Frame. Vintage condition with light handling wear (front hood free of dents, which is uncommon for this lens!), and excellent mechanics. The innermost front element does have some separation, as affects 90%+ examples of this lens, and the front coatings have some scattered faint cleaning marks. No deep scratches/haze/or fungus. This lens features the Standard version of the Deckel (DKL) bayonet mount, which can be used natively on Voigtlander DKL mount Bessmatic and Ultramatic cameras and with minor modification on Kodak (Retina) DKL SLR Cameras and on DSLR, and can be adapted for use on most popular Film SLR,mirrorless formats with a glassless adapter (see chart below for digital compatibility).
