This set up comes with Sure-Grip Velvet wheels, a reinvention of vintage vanathane wheels. Vanathane wheels were a term used for the early roller and skateboard wheels from the decades before urethane wheels. Traditionally these wheels are known for providing a perfect balance between slip and grip on hardwood skating floors, with resistance against flat spots/flattening.The Reds Bearings by Bones offer a removable single, non-contact shield that makes cleaning easier, and reduces friction during use. Pre-lubricated with Speed Cream and secured with a nylon ball retainer allowing for better speed and heightened speed. Sizing tip: the A La Mode velvet roller skate boot runs approximately 1/2 size large. Half sizes should go DOWN 1/2 size as opposed to up. If your boot is a little roomy, we recommend adding a VNLA Contour Insole.
