Description: This is a matted antique engraving from Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper, a weekly newspaper published in 1885. The prints in this series have text on the reverse, and are printed on what is called rag paper, an antique paper that is stronger and far more durable than the newspaper material we use today.TITLE: VIRGINIA -- SCENE AT A COLORED REVIVAL MEETING (See pictures for smaller text) ARTIST: CUSACKS, SIGNED IN PLATE CONDITION: EXCELLENT / VERY GOOD -- The prints in this series are clear, clean, bright. No foxing or tears. A really nice image. Excellent definition. Clear sharp lines, and wide margins. This print is about 140 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old print from the aforementioned newspaper and NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION.The visible part of the print, including the white border (if any) is about 10" x 15". Matted the print measures 16" x 20".
