Vintage WWII US Navy Bureau of Ships #5 compass in surprisingly nice condition

Description: This is a US Navy Bureau of Ships #5 compass in surprisingly good condition. It still has the compas compensation points attached and inside the cover is the original printed compass magnetic compensation tables. It is as if this came off the ship yesterday, but is over 60 years old. It is interesting to note this compass was used for both nautical and avaition so it could have come off a WWII plane. The cover has some places where the paint has worn off, but overall, the compass itself is in very good condition. See photos. Compass is marked "Fore" and "Aft" on the housing. Standard Navy grey.
