Description: Exact age unknown and yet, basket is showing it ;) Obviously handmade, probably a local product instead of being from some national company. Some splits, loose fasteners (nails and pivot rivets, etc). Small chain to latch lid has lost a link or end piece and won't stretch to the nail protruding to act as a catch. The wear, discoloration, small splits, imperfections, etc; all add to the charm and provenance of this enduring many, many years. The fabric covers, liners, storage bag, all appear to be custom homemade to make the basket appear more inline with more modern versions. Approximated dimensions of the outer Basket is 21x14 inches and 10" tall. The inner tray basket has 2 metal L plates on the ends so that it rests on the outer basket.
