The 1922 address book states that the company was run by Wilhelm Peter, Jr., Alois Jakob and Theodor Krumeich. After the great fire of 1921 in the Mettlach factory, a number of articles were produced by Wekara in their Ransbach factory, using the moulds supplied by Villeroy & Boch. The owner, Wilhelm Krumeich, was a friend of Jean Baptist Stahl of Villeroy & Boch, having both been students of the Ceramic Technical School in Höhr. Also their families had previously intermarried going back to the early 1700's.The company closed circa 1978.
