Description: Here you have an early pair of Hickory Vater Rock drumsticks with nylon tips from the early 1990's. This is right at the beginning of the Vater brand when they went out on their own. This pair was purchased at Daddy's Junky Music on Mass Ave in Boston, Mass in '91 or '92. They were lightly used a few times, but otherwise have sat in the original plastic sleeve (remember those?) in a stick bag for the last 30 or so years. Yeah, Vater still makes this model, but not like these aged beauties. You can tell the difference by the wood grain that emerges with age. Compare them to a new pair. See the pics for details. These sticks have full sized barrel tip and long shaft for weight and extra reach. Really great balance and feel for a big stick and the tip gives great cymbal articulation.
