Description: Vintage United Colors of Benetton BARBIE by Mattel -Debut Issue 1990 NRFB #9404 Mattels United Colors of Benetton line made it's U.S. debut in 1990 with 3 dolls, BARBIE, Christie and KIRA. The Benetton brand is European and Mattels collaboration with them was a very good choice, giving us 3 new dolls with vibrant new sporty clothes that can be interchanged for multiple outfits. The European market retained and released 3 dolls there- Ken, Teresa and Marina. For some unknown reason, Marina was actually a Kira doll . . .exact doll, clothing and accessories, only her name was changed. Barbie is new in her box with all original clothing and accessories. She has a beautiful face and long blonde crimped hair. She has the Benetton sporty look -similar, yet different, from the other Benetton dolls. I will be listing other Benetton Barbies, even Marina in the box! The box is not perfect and has minor wear consistent with shelf wear and its age. It is in very good condition, no rips or tears, see pics and zoom in. If you need perfect, please don't buy.
