Description: On offer is a 5 1/2-inch saucer in the Tonquin pattern made by Royal Staffordshire Company in England in the early to mid-20th century. Tonquin was designed by Clarice Cliff who was active in the 1920s through the 1940s. This piece is probably from the later years because it is in stunning shape. The only imperfection is a slight discoloration on the edge of the center on the backside. Otherwise, the bottom mark is clear and bright and the design on the front is vibrant with no scratches, crazing, chips or cracks. The mark reads: "Tonquin" Royal Staffordshire Dinnerware by Clarice Cliff, Made in England.
