Description: Vintage: The Delineator Magazine, September, 1901; published monthly by The Butterick Publishing Company. Fair to good condition, sale is for the exact magazine shown. Front cover has staining and some tears/chips at the right side. Spine shows wear, with some sections missing. A gap of about three inches along hinge of top of back cover shows that cover is not secure. Perfect binding with two staples to ensure stability. Inside pages in good shape with a light crease in content page and several following pages and chips along bottom edge. No writing or underlining. Has several full color print pages. Pages are paginated 315 to 478. This issue features fall and winter fashion, with a note from the editor announcing that “the revival of the habit-back skirt is very pronounced.” Gossip, diagrams and detailed descriptions dominate the 153 pages of this fashion magazine from the time of our great grandmothers. Many full-page ads convey the aspirations of 1901 households. The worn spine and various chipped edges contrast with the well-preserved interior pages. Price reflects rarity and condition. Standard 8” x 11” magazine format. Protected in plastic sleeve. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. From a pet-free, smoke-free home.
