Condition is "Used" but in very good condition especially considering he is almost 40 years old! His battery compartment is sparkling clean. Hector works just like new - mouth and eyes move with voice on tapes. He does not come with any book or tape, but I sell them separately on eBay. He does come with his connecting cord.
