Description: Here is a large American studio pottery serving platter by noted Northern Virginia potter/ceramist SOLVEIG COX.Her studio was located in Northern Virginia. During her forty year career with the Hollin Hills Potters at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria Virginia she was affectionately known in the artistic community as "the cat lady" as much of her work was "cat themed". Sadly, she passed in 2017. Her artwork is becoming harder to find and increasing in value. It is signed by the artist on the underside of the base. The overall condition is good, there are no cracks. This was only used for display. Very nice iconic piece by this artist. Pre-owned. No chips, cracks or repairs. Stand not included. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description.
