Vintage Strawberry Shortcake Cherry Cuddler Doll & Gooseberry Lot

Description: This is Strawberry Shortcake c. 1980s, Cherry Cuddler and pet. She is dressed correctly. Her booties were likely glued to her stockings as so many of these were and may have associated discolorations from that. This doll's white dress is getting harder and harder without some yellowing discoloration or staining. This dress has been washed, it is a pretty decent "white" considering age/use. Gooseberry displays nicely, but has a few minor scuff type marks- see photos. Doll is a played with vintage toy which has been cleaned and refurbished. I am obsessed with these dolls from my childhood. I buy and resell them in order to save these dolls for future generations. There are just no contemporary dolls that compare! Most of the dolls that I buy need TLC. I clean them, wash the clothes, shoes and pets. I check for VD spots and try to put each doll back closest to original specs whenever I can. Please expect some amount of wear. With that said, I spend a lot of time cleaning dolls and clothes to put sets back together. I throw out anything that has vinyl deterioration on the faces. I do not always throw out a body or head that has a contained spot in a hidden area (legs, under the hair, feet). The vinyl deterioration is not contagious and will not spread as long as the dolls are stored properly- ventilated when in high humidity environments or stored with desiccant. I throw out clothes that are really stained or ripped. Each doll may have minor variations, color discolorations, marks or factory production defects that I cannot control. If the doll is listed then I feel that it is a good loose specimen, appropriate for any collection or for play. Dirty lots of dolls, clothes, pets and shoes are now selling for outrageous prices, therefore my prices have gone up to cover my costs and make a small profit. It is not fun to open your newly purchased doll and have an hour's worth of cleaning to do! If you buy an uncleaned doll, you will recognize the difference.Realistic Customer Expectations= Customer Satisfaction... I am a junk dealer, not a chain retailer. Most of the items that I sell are vintage, used and loved- they are RARELY going to be perfect. You may consider something a problem that I have not even considered as a defect.
