Description: Up for offer is an impressive Soviet Union GSH-6A High Altitude Flight Helmet. This example is complete with all parts, including the internal soft helmet, rubber seal, paperwork, and the wooden carrying case. The helmet itself is in very good condition, showing light signs of age and wear typical for these pieces. With label numbered 0531644. One area with a time period repair to the hose, shown in the photos. Internal soft helmet in perfect condition overall, with the leather still soft and no signs of staining to the cloth. Neck connection/ rubber seal is complete as well overall, with the rubber still being soft and pliable. Rubber is dated October 1982. Complete without damage. Original paperwork present, with matching number shown on the helmet. Case displays some signs of age and wear. The lid displays a cracked area. Base of the case is loose and can be pushed inward, and could use new nails. Interior foam pad present. Additionally, the lid does not close on this example. The latch for the lid and case do not line up, and it is possible the lid is an original replacement from a different case. Metal tag on the case matches the paperwork and helmet serial number. Complete with the carrying strap. All in all, this is an extremely interesting piece and surely would display great with similar items! Shipping $50 within the US.
