Description: This is a vintage Pruner or Hawkbill folding knife made in Solingen Germany, probably in the 1960's to 70's. Maker is SPI in a diamond. Measures 4.25" closed with curved shape and swelling wider towards the top. Blade has full advertising etch for "JEWEL FOLIAGE CO. SAN ANTONIO TEXAS 78217 with their EMERALD LEAF logo. Blade still has the factory edge with some very fine pitting in the carbon steel. Good snap, both ways. Doesn't look like it was every really used. Slant-cut nickel silver bolster with groove. Handles are finely grained hardwood, pinned with brass pins. A very nice old pruner. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back.
