Description: Everyone's favorite Big Company, Barnes and Noble, produced something they called the Art Series back in the 1960s. According to B&N, the "series (of approx. 30 artists) presented selected works of the masters...contains over 50 illustration...with a text by recognized experts, giving a concise survey of the life and work of each arts and the influences with inspired him." Each volume cost .75 CENTS (!!!). The books were small -- 4 1/2" x 7" and absolutely wonderful. This volume is about Rembrandt and is in good, age-related condition -- all 90 pages are intact; the covers are in good shape, tho there seems to be a small discoloration on the top front cover and first few pages.
