Description: For your consideration a vintage REGULA Cuckoo Clock with dancing skiers in a pine forest setting by a charming chalet with the cuckoo under the eves. The cuckoo works and all weights, chains and the pendulum are included. We had this clock cleaned in 1992 by a professional clock repair company (will include the receipt) and he replaced the movement. The movement inside reads "West Germany", "Regula 25/1-W" This means it is a 1-day movement manufactured in 1988. That's the movement date. Not sure of the actual clock manufacture date. The clock man said at the time we took it in, that the musical sound did not sound good so he put a bigger weight on the sound chain and that at the time of delivery everything worked well. Brought it home and hung it up. Had to immediately place an "all-stop" on the clock since it was driving our new cat crazy. Have not started it up again since. Did try it today when I took it down for pictures and noticed the skiers didn't move when the clock strikes at the top of the hour. (Clock strikes and cuckoo sings at the top and bottom of the hour. ) I think a good cleaning would solve the problem. There are no chips,cracks in the wood or missing parts.
