Description: Here is a set of 51 quilt blocks in the Grape Basket pattern, #712 in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns by Barbara Brackman. Design is categorized as a Realistic basket full of triangles, so named by the Ladies' Art Company, #387. Pattern is also known as Basket of Chips, May Basket and Picnic Basket. Blocks are hand pieced using vintage cotton fabrics from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Each basket is constructed of a cranberry red with white print and a white shirting with black polka dots. Please note, the polka dot fabrics are different. Each block measures approximately 6" to 6 1/2" square. All of the blocks are pictured, please use the zoom feature on the photos for a better view. The last photo shows the back of one block. Item is for only the pictured blocks no other finishing materials are included.
