ESTATE ART - OWNERSHIP HISTORY UNKNOWN A wonderful and rare original from the late James Butman, who passed away just this year. The Springfield MA native was famous for his unique talent of creating art collages from postage stamps and other stamps. Many of his pieces were acquired by Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, and others gifted and purchased by famous celebrities. Now you can add his work to your collection with this lovely little piece signed and dated 1995. The stamp collage has been constructed on a cream color 7" x 10" manila carboard paper which is folded in half as shown in photos.This is an actual collage not a print as it has distinct surface patterns as well as pen and ink highlights. We are selling it in the original gold metal picture frame as found with a plastic front to protect the artwork.
