Vintage OK Cub .049 B Model Airplane Engine 049 1953 Miniature Small

This vintage model engine belonged to my brother. We inherited it years ago. My brother was into model airplanes for most of his life. We are not. Time to clean out the protected storage closet and move forward. I'm not a vintage engine expert. So...I'm going to have to let my photos do most of the talking. I can barely make out the words "OK COX" and "C 49B" that is stamped on it sides. I will try and show these in my photos but theses stamps have seen a little wear. This engine has the LONG SHAFT, THROTTLE, FUEL TANK and START PULLEY that you normally don't find on these little beauties. It also has a partial protective metal sleeve around the fins protecting the fuel tank. I don't know if the fuel tank is original or not - you be the expert. See photos please. This classic has not been detailed cleaned or polished. The piston turns slowly with a lot of turning pressure. I don't want to force it. It has been in protective storage for years and I assume that with minor lubrication - it will loosen easier....but I cannot guarantee that. The two, what I believe to be - small, upright vent pipes(?) on the top of the fuel tank - are intact - but note that ONE is loose. This vintage ENGINE is being sold "as-is" with no return. It is UNTESTED AND it is being SOLD FOR PARTS OR REPAIR, AS FOUND, AS PICTURED.I was told that this engine was manufactured in 1953 by Herkimer Tool & Model Works in Herkimer, NY. nnnIt features a one-piece cast crankcase, lapped piston, and steel liner.nn It has a beam mount design. I was told that it was First introduced in July 1953, the OK Cub 049B replaced the original .049 model. It was billed as “a brand new, lighter, more powerful OK .049 CUB that retains all the famous OK rugged design features you want.” In reality, since all of the working components were carried over from the .049X, the design was not exactly “brand new”. The engine featured the same .420 in. bore and .360 in. stroke. However, the crankcase was new, having a combination of beam or radial mounting options like the old model. The .049B also sported an extended prop driver for easier access to the needle valve; a stamped red-anodized aluminum fuel tank; and a racy spinner nut. It offered good value at $4.95, including propeller.
