Vintage mid 1930s Emerson Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Antique Tube Radio w/ID Plate

Description: Here's a 1930's Emerson Mickey Mouse Radio. The Repwood type cabinet is solid showing some typical 90 year old wear! The radio is not working. The old resistance AC line cord was totally shredded when I got it so it was discarded. Tubes are all either NOS or test fine. One filter cap in the above board "cap box" has been replaced but all other components look original and probably should be replaced if operation is desired. There is info on line on restoring these old "hot cord" radios and how to work around (replace) the hot cord with alternatives. Cosmetically, it looks a lot better than most of the survivors out there! The back is not there, probably removed years ago to allow even more air circulation around the tubes which run quite hot in this small cabinet. BUT (added 10/18), I forgot to put up a pic of the rear cover ID plate (2x1 1/2") which DID come with the radio when I got it (last pic)! So if you ever wanted to make a rear wood cover, it would be complete with the addition of the plate. As it is, it makes a great display piece, but you can always restore the electronics sometime down the road. The speaker looks great (last pic)!
