Vintage Lighting Antique 1920s ORNATE Polychrome Chandelier

Description: I’m very excited to offer for your consideration this absolutely STUNNING 1920’s polychrome, strap style chandelier! This fixture completely embodies 1920’s stylings, and is of exceptional quality. I’ve never offered a fixture quite like this one before, and it is one of the most elegant fixtures I’ve ever restored. Overall, the polychrome finish is in excellent vintage condition, only showing very discreet, minor, nearly imperceptible wear. The flat strap arms have been refinished in a muted champagne gold, as the original painted finish was badly deteriorated and flaking. The deeply, richly cast and decorated center panels between each arm really make this piece stand out from more commonly seen lighting of this era, and I LOVE how richly colored this piece was finished. I would be remiss not to point out the original, amber tinted teardrop crystals. Only the bottom crystal is a replacement. What makes this fixture even more exceptional is how original it is, even the chain and canopy! I am so, so very rarely able to retain original fixture chain, as it is usually found corroded and rusted away to nearly nothing - so for the distinctive, original oval chain to remain is astounding. *NOTE* This fixture is already quite long all by itself without any chain at all. As I show it in the listing photos, it currently measures about 37” long, and approximately 20 inches wide. It’s a pretty substantially sized piece. I can only shorten it by removing up to a maximum of 4 inches of chain, though I can lengthen it if desired. If you’ve been looking for something EXTRA glamorous and unique for over your dining room table or in your foyer, this fixture might just be the one! This scale of this fixture is ideal for almost any medium to large size room, again, measuring approximately 37 - inches to the bottom of the finial as shown. It is quite robust in diameter as well, measuring at about 20 - inches around. Again, I may be able to adjust the length a bit if desired. Just let me know! The sockets are original, while the wiring is all brand new - cloth covered like the original was. All the necessary mounting hardware to install the fixture is included in the sale.
