Description: VINTAGE LARGE HAND CARVED WOOD CHESSMEN SET in WOOD BOX - ROSEWOOD and EBONY This Mid Century Vintage Hand Carved Wood Chessmen Set in the Wood Box with Sliding Lid has no marks or labels. The Kings are 3 1/2” tall and 1 1/2” across the felt covered base, the Pawns are 1 7/8” and 1” across the base. The wood box is 9 3/4” long by 6” wide by 3” tall with no divider or liner inside. One of the blond Knights has a damaged nose and is missing its green felt- looks like maybe a puppy dog got a taste of it, but all the other pieces are in very good vintage condition. And although I show it set up on a chessboard, it did not come with one and the one shown is only for display and will not be included. The box shows signs of age and wear but has done a good job of keeping the set together.
