This lot is sold As Is because the watches wind but do not tick and as such we cannot guarantee watches will work or tell accurate time. Both wristwatches are in otherwise good condition with light wear and marks from use and age. The hour and minute hands move on both watches when time is set. The inside of the watch back says Cased and Timed by Elgin National Watch Co. Keystone J. Boss 14k Gold Filled 42381. The Elgin watch is approximately 1 1/4" long and the watch band has an approximate internal diameter of 1 1/2". The Elgin watch band is a chain style band with a good working clasp. The inside of the watch band clasp says Pat Pend Made in U.S.A. The Gruen wristwatch features a 12 hour dial with Arabic numeral indices for 12, 3, 6 & 9 and baton indices for the rest of the hours. The watch face says Gruen Precision Swiss. The watch case has a detailed floral pattern. The back of the Gruen watch says Stainless Steel 10k R.G.P. Bezel. The watch movement says 215 Gruen Watch Co Swiss Seventeen 17 Jewels. The inside of the watch back says Cased and Timed in U.S.A. by Gruen Watch Co. 215-153 488758. The Gruen watch face is approximately 1/2" long. The Gruen watch features an expandable watch band that has an approximate internal diameter of 1 3/4" when fully closed. The inside of the watch band is marked Duchess 1/20 10k G.F. Top. The Gruen watch also has a blue guilloche enamel Virgin Mary charm attached to it.
