Description: VINTAGE JERRY TWITTY SPORTSMAN HUNTING KNIFE & SHEATH 97M14-1 STACKED LEATHER STAG POMMEL MORSETH 3 7/8” blade, 8 1/4” overall Never used, or carried. Very light scuff marks from sheath. Jerry Twitty was an authentic maker of Morseth knives and sheaths. He assisted Steve Morseth who was the grandson of legendary knife maker Harry Morseth. Harry passed his skills onto Steve and Steve passed his to Jerry. Jerry Twitty started working with Steve Morseth in 1982. After about 13 years, Jerry bought Steve’s equipment and started making his own knives full time in 1993. His knives were heavily influenced by his time working with Steve Morseth. All his knives are made with ATS 34 steel. Outside of being a talented blade-smith, Jerry Twitty was a career Wildlife Specialist working with the USDA. Jerry Twitty passed away in December 2014.
