Black lacquered outside and red inside. Beautiful hand painted red, gold, green floral pattern on top and side. Overall size is 5 1/2" square by 5 1/2" tall. Removable top and three separate boxes. Includes original packing box. Original information brochure, completely in Japanese. I got this on one of my many trips to Japan in the 1980's. Item may have been made in Kanazawa, but not sure since there is no English information with the item.
