Vintage IDP FMA862 Model 86 (Intel Pentium @ 75 MHz, 16 MB RAM, Win95)

Description: This auction is for a vintage IDP FMA862 laptop. This laptop was given to us on a pallet of older computers. I know nothing of the laptop's previous history. Per our security policy, all personal and private data has been purged. The battery does not hold a charge but the laptop comes with the OEM AC adapter. Cosmetic wise: The laptop has had a rough life. There are some blemishes and marks on the lid and around the chassis. The rear I/O panel is missing the cover. The bottom chassis is in better condition but the manufacturer's stickers have been removed. The keyboard keys show a bit of wear. Update 3/2024 - a plastic chip has broken off near the 3.5mm audio connectors with some smaller cracks forming around it. Performance wise: The laptop can be pretty slow from time to time. The internal HDD is getting old which can lead to performance drops. The HDD also has three bad sectors.The trackpad can also be a bit under sensitive. Performance drops are to be expected with vintage hardware and software. NOTE: The internal CMOS battery is dead. The floppy drive no longer works.
