Description: Please read the entire description before using Buy It Now to purchase this item. For sale here is a vintage HEALD 52-88 Relay Logic circuit board. It was originally part of an industrial CNC machine. It is in good, used condition. This circuit board is being offered here because it can be used to create an authentic-looking Graflex "clamp card" to simulate the one used in Rey's lightsaber prop, as it appeared in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", and the later sequels. Reportedly, the clamp card used to create the original movie prop was cut from the edge of a similar circuit board from an Otis elevator. Finding an actual Otis circuit board would be nearly impossible, but this Heald 52-88 board resembles that one very closely. It has the proper Gold-Plated contact spacing and straight solder tracings, on an opaque board. If you look on the side of the board opposite the circuit modules, there is a notch in the edge. If you start at that notch and include the next 13 gold-plated contacts (the same number as in the original movie prop), the dimension is exactly the length of the clamp on a Graflex flash. This circuit board comes exactly as shown. It will be up to the buyer to cut a section out of the board to create the clamp card. I would suggest making a paper template of the space that fits your Graflex clamp, and then transferring that to the proper section of the board. I believe that the board could be cut rather easily using a Dremel tool or something similar. Cutting the section slightly oversize, and then using a sanding block or file to "fine tune" the size of the clamp card would probably be the safest method. This DIY method of creating a clamp card is certainly more involved than just buying a reproduction, but I think that the result will look more authentic. I doubt that any of the reproductions actually have gold-plated contacts, like this vintage circuit board does. Doing this should also appeal to fans who want to use materials and methods similar to the original propmakers to construct their own lightsaber prop.
